Today you are going to learn about a concept that I have applied to my life and my business that has allowed me to lower anxiety, reduce stress, feel more fulfilled, and accomplish more.
It’s called 90-Day Worlds. It’s part of my Impacter Flow.
90-Day Worlds are 3-month periods where you ONLY focus on what you can do and achieve in those 90 days.
It's kinda like saying you want to build your dream house that's gonna take 10 years but you must first only focus on picking the right land where you want to build. Finding the right land is the only priority in those 90 days.
Let us dive in.
First off, anyone who has made an incredible impact in this world and created a life they love living had some sort of big dream and some sense of motivation.
But they still had to work on continually becoming the person who has the life, impact, and income they strived to achieve.
No matter if it is learning new skills, changing your mindset, and/or managing yourself differently (cause let's be honest, the way you have managed yourself and what you’ve been given so far, has led you to exactly where you are now, and that's ok - let's keep becoming)
You have to BECOME the person who continually dreams big, who is internally motivated, who is disciplined and ambitious.
Not this person? Nor willing to change in order to become this person? (Please, do yourself a favor and don't waste your time here).
Willing to put in the work to become this person?
LET'S $*&KING GO!
It is time to set some bull's eyes and targets to hit. Take out a pen and paper or schedule a day to go through this and write EVERYTHING down.
This is where you need to step back from your life as if you are the painter with a blank canvas and have some fun.
Keep in mind: “Most people overestimate what they can achieve in a year and underestimate what they can achieve in ten years.”
The possibilities are ENDLESS. Dream big, live bigger. You are a source, you are a field. You are causing an effect.
10 year Vision -
What does your life look like 10 years from now? What do you want in your life and what do you NOT want in your life? Put yourself in this place.
If you are 21 years young right now, what do you, your life, your business/career, your impact, your bank account look like at 31 years young? Think in broad terms of your vision for your being, balance, body, and business.
Pull images, characteristics, lifestyles from successful people you admire. Paint a big beautiful picture with big, hairy, audacious goals.
3 Year Phase -
Ask yourself the same question on a broken-down scale of the 10-year vision. What does your life look like 3 years from now? What do you want in your life and what do you NOT want in your life? Think being, balance, body, and business. What do all these look like 3 years out?
3 years is my critical number because when I make a change, it really allows what life has for me to move into place without me prematurely backing out or changing direction.
1 Year Goals -
What are the yearly goals you have to hit that are aligned with your 3-Year Phase and 10-year vision?
Reverse engineer the 3-year phase and 10-year vision and break them down into smaller, more achievable goals. These goals should still be a stretch that will require you to become more in order to reach them.
Action Step: Download Pinterest and create a new 'board' called 2.0 Version or 10 Year vision. Add 'pins' to these boards weekly, look at them daily. This is POWERFUL. This will give you visual cues, emotional feeling, and program your subconscious mind to find and create the opportunities to live out your dreams.
Now, how do you implement a system and stay on a path to achieve these big dreams without having high anxiety, stress, burnout? 90-Day Worlds.
It is best to have three to seven 90-Day goals. Any more than seven can take away focus and stretch you too thin, cause more anxiety/stress, and next thing you know you have barely moved the needle on any of the goals.
Three to Seven goals allow you to move the needle significantly.
Getting started, three goals should be max. Once you become more, learn faster, and optimize you can stretch yourself to seven.
90-Day Goals are small enough and specific enough that you can attach a daily/weekly action to them and actually achieve them!
Once these goals are set, make sure you are taking the daily/weekly action towards achieving this goal.
Example: 90 Days - 4 Major Goals (one for each - being, balance, body, business)
#1 Being - Read 2 books on XYZ Subject
#2 Balance - Start a podcast and record 3 episodes.
#3 Body - Loose 3 lbs
#4 Business - Invest $1000
Do you get the picture?
Having “no time” to do these things is giving your power away, you are being reactive instead of creative.
Physically scheduling these out in your calendar gives you no excuse to not do them.
Remember, you are a source. You create.
You take care of the small things and the big things will take care of themselves. (This is compounding interest at work)
Compound interest works faster as you learn more, apply/test, and optimize.
By focusing only on the 90-Days you can lower your anxiety because you can pull back into the present, know that the only focus is this current day, and action steps right for these goals in front of you.
Once you become more present, you'll notice you will begin to hit your goals and feel that accomplishment.
Next thing you know, you're knocking out and exceeding all seven goals faster, getting more shit done, creating bigger 90-day goals all while continually progressing towards your next phase of life and your big vision. And having a sense of fulfillment that builds your confidence like no other way.
At the end of each 90 Days, take a day or mini-retreat (I like Airbnbs) to reflect on the previous 90-days. How can you learn what did and didn't work, make the changes, learn more, optimize and achieve faster?
Be grateful for your progress at the end of each 90-Day World. Progress over perfection. Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.
Allow grace for the goals you did not hit in those 90-Day and then make those goals the next 90 Day worlds’ top priority.
I hope this helps!
Keep Going,
Kyle
