There is this persona or ideology that "grinding" is the way to go about you life.

Whether you are working hard at your job, building a business, or working on something you love, the perspective and mindset of "Im just grinding away" is one that will leave you empty.

Empty in energy, life, power, creativity, emotions and so forth.

How do I know this?

Well because for the first two years of building my own business and brand, I just told my self to grind, grind, grind, every single minute of every single day.

I was "out on my grind" so hard that eventually I grinded everything I had to dust.

Since, I have shifted my perspective to sculpting.

Sculpting, I believe, is a much more beautiful way to approach and look at life.

A Sculptor starts with something raw, like an idea or vision, and then carefully starts working the idea/vision until a masterpiece has been made.

The Sculptor takes a step back to look at his creation so far. Making detailed edits on certain areas. He/She removes what no longer serves the masterpiece and he/she cuts and forms areas in beautiful ways in order for the full masterpiece to come to life.

Language is what creates our world and our concepts of it, this is why I have changed from "Grinding" to Sculpting.

Im sculpting away at a master piece that will never be finished but it sure as heck defeats grinding away only to be left with dust.
